This one was, supposedly, an easy one to predict, a multiple times European champion with a huge budget against a team from Croatia, who, even though they have had more than a few great players have never done much at a club level. The first half was dominated by AC Milan but Dynamo showed a compact defense without any holes. Just as I thought the first half would end 0-0, a mistake by a Croatian defender gifted Milan a penalty which was transformed by Giroud. Undoubtedly it was a penalty but it was completely unnecessary, nothing would have happened if the defender had not fouled.
This first half lead made things easier for Milan who just starting the second half doubled there lead. I could see no way out of it for Dynamo, and in spite of scorin g a very nice goal things were too uphill and in the final part of the game Milan finished it off with their third goal. It was a good game with an obviously better Italian side but the Croatians showed some good football and if it wasn't for that penalty mistake I think we would have had a draw.
