Hello to all art lovers!!! And one of those who loves fantasy pencil drawings. ^_^
Hello again, yesterday unfortunately an idiot in a hurry who does not look forward when crossing, he ran over me, it was nothing serious, the subject only hit the rear wheel of my bicycle, at the moment only the tire had come out of the ring, I put it in its place and you can resume the path to my house, but I noticed some strange noises, and yes indeed my bicycle was damaged by the impact, the entire rear wheel is very crooked and its axle was bent and I have to replace it as soon as possible It's funny that it continues to work but I shouldn't let it get worse and how things are here it will surely cost me about $20 to repair it T_T
Changing to happier themes, as I mentioned in my previous post, I will give my sculptures a rest until I have more material to work with more creativity, comfort, but mainly to be more ambitious with the projects, so while that happens I return with you my project to cover the wall of my classroom with drawings (I never gave up on this project, I just like to share my stuff in production order, and some things should have come out first XP)
Starting to portray an Orc
In these drawings I am with a theme "The Lord of the Rings" based on the sketches of "Stjepan Sejic" which is one of my main influences as an artist, as I said when I started with this idea of covering the wall with drawings, it is that These serve me as an exercise to improve my speed and my quality with the details, I would need about 6 drawings to finish with that theme and from there make drawings based on Marvel or DC characters, all of them based on semi-realistic or flat styles, the most realistic as possible, the idea of a challenge is to get out of the comfort zone ^_^
In this drawing it is about the portrait of an orc in profile, in this I return to my 11 x 14 cm format, I began by making a clear sketch of the main lines of the face and the silhouette of the entire head, I erased the plates several times that make up the helmet he wears because he had trouble distributing these harmoniously, amusingly the jaw and fangs were easier, when I thought they would be the hardest thing to do.
When filling the drawing with volume and shadows, I always recommend doing it in one direction, and here I did it from left to right, starting with the ear, continuing with the helmet plates around it, and then continuing with the little hair that was left. go.
When I finally finish the helmet which I had to do with light tones with many white parts, to give an appearance of dents in each of the plates, I begin to add volume to the face starting with the eyes, (in all I draw the eyes is always the most important) as the face has to be monstrous and aggressive, I had to add a lot of texture to highlight his features, when I completed the upper part of the face, I continued to finish the neck which I had to make a texture to represent the height mesh covering this.
Due to the jaw I had to add a lot of shadow to the front of the neck, with this ready I start to fill in the jaw to complete the entire face, which I had to do with the same texture that I applied to the upper part of the face, and this I had to emphasize it in the areas where it has war paint or tattoos, now the most outstanding feature of this drawing is the mouth, or rather its fangs starting with the upper teeth.
In the fangs I had to add a subtle gradient, so that something dirty but dangerous could be noticed, like those of a wild animal, on the gums I had to use a mixture of shades like the one I applied to the skin but highlighting the contrast on the lips to make the difference between both, in the fangs of the mandible, I had to carry out the same procedure, unlike here the interior of the mouth is more appreciated, in which I had to darken with pencils 3B and 6B and with medium tones, I covered language.
At the end I had to add more contrast in all the shadows with the 6B pencil which is the darkest I have, which gave it much more depth and with that this drawing was officially finished.
The reference image I used for this drawing
I continue to be fascinated with the creativity of "Stjepan Sejic" and his mastery in drawing sketches in photoshop, I highly recommend you to see his drawings that he posts on his social networks.
There are already 10 drawings on the wall of 80
They moved me to a new drawing room, I liked my previous room better, because we had a window to a patio which gave it more natural light, in this one there is a window to the living room, (I am not an architect, but I do not I see no sense) and it has a wall painted with a mural which I don't like very much due to the lack of technique but with a very good color palette, so I have no choice but to move my drawings to the wall where the blackboard is Later, I will see how I do to improve the wall with the mural, they told me that they do not want them to put anything on it, but I have the need to add many drawings on it.
I still have a long way to go to cover this new wall of fanart drawings, I only need 70 more drawings to achieve this first goal and to have the most beautiful and visually interesting room in the entire academy, without a doubt the blackboard will have a very great frame ^_^.
