My favorite neighborhood (PowerUp 100%)

I have already started to show a little about the place where I live, I think it's time to share some facts from its history, as well as, of course, photos. You should start with the fact that you will walk through this relatively small block - in a straight line - in 15-20 minutes, if you move at a walking pace. This block, bounded by Shkolnaya Street, Primorsky Avenue, Serebryakov and Shishmarevsky Lanes, is popularly called "German Block", and the colorful low-rise houses that "inhabit" it are called "German cottages". And now I will tell you why this is so.

Quite recently, several modern club houses were built here (one of them in in the photo above in the center), which look, perhaps, much brighter against the background of old cottages painted in muted shades of yellow, pink, blue and green.

There are several such blocks in St. Petersburg (I think they also exist in other cities of Russia), and they appeared at the end of the 1940s, that is, shortly after the end of the Second World War. The authors of the projects were Soviet architects (the architectural style is neoclassical), but German prisoners of war who remained in the USSR for several years after the war took part in the construction of the houses. That's why these blocks and cottages are popularly called German.

In the photo above and in 2 photos below - Dibunovskaya Street, the quietest and greenest in the block.

And some photos of the courtyards between Dibunovskaya and Shkolnaya streets.

Nice and calm area, you are very lucky to live in such a place.
Excellent photos and post :)
