Attention: How Virtual Reality Tricks Your Brain

The reality was a moment back in 2016. The internet is still full of people trying for the first time, and it's weird to watch it. People fall to the ground, reach for their roof fans, kick their feet as if in a swing, and hold on to their lives even though they are completely safe.

Let's take a look at dinosaurs in the living room: Drawings in VR are not exactly true. Even real-life virtual reality games have some pixelation. There is only so much processing power that can be provided by a computer before things start to go wrong.

Fortunately for game developers, our brains are not all good at distinguishing between truth and physical reality as long as certain basic rules are followed.

Making the visual feel real is a matter of choosing and choosing certain visual cues; the purpose is to deceive the brain in basic ways. It doesn't have to be true. Just believe. Especially when it comes to perspective. In the physical world, pixels do not need to be as small or perfect in our brain to perceive the earth as much as possible.
