Part I -. Say in your own words and based on what was explained in class: What is law?

LAW;

Law is set of a rules that created to keep an order in society and to protect people. It tells us what we can do and cannot do. Laws are made by the governments and leaders or other the authorities and everyone in a country must follow the law. If someone breaks the law so they may face the punishment like to paying a fine or to going to the jail. Laws are more important because they keep the people safe and to make sure that everyone is treated fairly. For example laws stop the people from stealing or hurting others and doing things that are too dangerous. Without laws there would be disorder and people might not feel safe. Laws help us to live together in peacefully by guiding how we behave and to solve problems fairly.

Part II- Based on what you have explained in class, make a comparison and according to the law of your country. Give an example of a law and an example of a norm

Law

A law is a rule made by the government that everyone must follow it. If someone breaks the law they will be punished. Laws are written and in official.

Example of a Law in Pakistan:

In Pakistan it is illegal to drive without a valid driver license. If someone is caught the driving without a license they may have to pay the fine or face the other penalties.

Norm

A norm is an unwritten rule that is people follow in a society. It is based on a values and traditions, or respect but breaking it does not bring legal punishment.

Example of a Norm in Pakistan:

In Pakistan it is a norm to respect the elders by greeting them in a politely and offering them to seat.

Part III-. Explain in your own words what importance Comparative Law has for you according to what you have seen in class.

Importance of Comparative Law

Comparative Law is an important because it helps us to understand the laws of different countries and how they are similar or a different. By studying it we can learn which laws work well and which ones is do not . This can help to improve the laws in our own country. For example if one country has a better system for solving the legal problems we can learn from them.

It also helps to build stronger relationships between the countries because understanding each other laws makes the trade or business and communication easier. For me the Comparative Law is useful to see how the laws protect people and to solve problems in different places. It teaches us to respect the other legal systems and to think about improving our own for a better society.
