A Curry Cooler you Have to try!

This is not going to be a long one - but I wanted to share it for all the curry lovers our there! I was introduced to this delicious "cooler" side many years ago by an Indian friend of mine. Having dinner at her house one evening and she served curry with this accompanying side which was there for the purpose of cooling the heat of the curry if it got a little bit overwhelming.

Now, my late mom used to make curries all the time and would serve them with an array of different and delicious sides, which ranged from coconut flakes, diced cucumber in Greek yoghurt, banana slices, diced tomatoes, buttered bread and sometimes even milk when necessary, lol.

But I had never tasted anything quite like this! I will say however, that I know people generally either love or hate coriander (cilantro / dhanya) - so if you are not a fan, you may as well stop reading now, lol.

When my friend told me how she made it, I thought she was lying to me haha, because it was dead simple - in fact it is even simpler than dead simple and I could not believe that it tasted sooooo good alongside ANY curry!

Here in South Africa, we have a local gem which is actually pretty well known and available in many other parts of the world, called "Mrs Balls Chutney" which is a household staple in this country. So, that is the first ingredient you will need. If you are able to get Mrs Balls where you live - great! If not, HERE is a "copy cat recipe for you. Alternatively, use whatever peach or apricot chutney you are able to purchase locally.

Next, you are going to need a nice bunch of freshly chopped coriander (cilantro / dhanya) and a pack of baby italian or cherry tomatoes. Wash the tomatoes and then slice them half. Place them in a bowl with about two tablespoons of the chutney and the handful of chopped coriander.

The only other ingredient / step is to add about a tablespoon of water into the mix which is there purely to slightly thin the chutney. You don't want to add too much water, otherwise it will just become watery. Give it all a good stir and you are done.

You now know the recipe to one of the most delicious curry coolers I have ever had the pleasure of tasting! You can thank me once you have tried it haha! - So, best you get cooking some curry, lol!

Enjoy!

❤❤❤

Until next time...
