Hi friends!
Drawing a tiled floor to place elements in perspective is a convenient solution as you will see in the development of this drawing.
We start the same way we did in the previous lesson.
As you can see, we can add as many tiles as we want by drawing the diagonal lines towards the auxiliary vanishing point (AVP) as explained in the lesson Drawing tiles
We define the location of our drawing (this will be a staircase).
Starting from a random point on the grid on the left, we first draw a horizontal line counting nine tiles to the right, then draw a vertical line up and another line following the direction of the vanishing line on the left, as shown below.
So we get a corner to place our staircase.
Now, we sketch the steps of the staircase.
From the corners of the steps, we trace the vanishing lines towards the vanishing point to obtain the perspective projection of the steps.
We also define the depth of the staircase, counting five tiles as shown below.
Once the depth and the vanishing lines of the steps of our staircase have been obtained, we proceed to draw it with the final outline.
I have highlighted the back of the ladder in red. This back corner allows us to set the edge of the wall, above and behind it.
Here I drew the outlines for the whole drawing.
Once all the helplines have been erased, this is the result.
