Winter is upon us now December 2022. And here are these delightful flowers I photographed in late November. The weather is warm and as usual flowers bloom for a long time. Do you recognize the flower?
A decorative bush with large, usually fragrant flowers. Flowers of various colors and with stems covered with thorns
Of course they are roses!
Roses have an enchanting fragrance. It really depends on the variety. I have noticed that there are roses with absolutely no fragrance, which is a pity.
I have read that there are over 100 species of roses.
Roses can grow quite tall.It turns out that the tallest rose bush reaches more than 7 meters tall. Did you know that?
A rose also turns into a fruit. The fruit is called a rosehip. It is shaped like a berry and most are red in color. These roses, as you can see, are still in bloom!
