Indoors planting

Hm... Now... What's in that first photo, you may wonder :)

I am not going to leave you to wonder for too long, hehehe.

Once a month or two, I buy from our favorite food store a celery.

I love its taste - it's so fresh, aromatic, I could tell it's full of fibers, vitamins and is so crunchy, even the noise when eating it is kinda... satisfying.

Sometimes I add it as an ingredient when cooking stew and that adds amazing flavor ;) However, I usually prefer to eat it raw.

Unfortunately, though, it seems celery isn't produced on a big enough scale in my country so the celery plants I usually buy, come from Italy. Those are indeed delicious but guess what, the price doesn't come cheap, one plant is around the equivalent of EUR 2.00

Usually it takes about a week until we eat all the green parts and then I am left with small parts near the roots that is solid and inedible.

So I just put that leftover in rich soil in a pot and then I put that pot near a window.

This is what you see on the photo.

It was such a pleasure to do so.

Somehow I wasn't able to focus properly on any work, I was constantly trying to multitask, and men... we aren't good at that, trust me :)))

Anyways!

Planting something always leaves positive vibes for me and I always feel better after planting stuff, even at pots, even indoors, as it is still too cold outside, nights still have negative temperatures, that in Celsius, of course :)

I have planted celery roots before, it usually takes a few weeks before new parts of it grow and are big enough to be cut but then the process continues for several months and the celery leaves are wonderful for salads and dressing.

I planted another plant, and if you guess that's the top of a pineapple, you would be completely right :)

We don't buy pineapples very often, they come from the other side of the planet and I generally don't respect the pollution that whole process creates but this time I made an exception since the fruits were too ripe in the store and I could tell they will not sell them for too long, so for them to go to waste would be even worse.

I have to admit, that top part doesn't look very promising, a bit too dry maybe, but why miss the chance to revive it ;)

Everything is possible, right? :)

Still, its core looks green enough. I have to water it more often, I suppose.

Found some videos online by other people planting a pineapple that way.

I really hope this plant survives, I'll move it outdoors when it's warm enough.

I wish you a great day/evening ahead! :)

If anyone is interested in the results of those two nature-experiments, let me know with a comment and I'll be keeping you posted about it :)
