Photo Contest: Post Processing #34 [ENG/ESP]
Nowadays, photo editing offers a wide and varied range of tools that allow us to add a greater attractiveness to photos, either by eliminating superfluous or distracting elements that are superfluous or do not add more value to the image, illuminate dark areas or enhance details that would otherwise go completely unnoticed.
In short, photo editing or retouching opens up an infinite number of possibilities when intervening in a photograph, depending on what our purpose as artists is, or what our target or objective audience is.
For this new initiative by @bambuka from the World of Xpilar Community, we are invited to retake the original theme, which is nothing more than to process a common image in such a way that we can, through the product we obtain, tell a story, which will not necessarily coincide in all the participants.
On this occasion, the photograph corresponds to a rather gray view, devoid of expression, of a lagoon or pond with what appears to be a warehouse in the background.
Original Image
First of all, I adjusted the brightness, light, shadow and contrast values, trying to brighten the image and discover everything it was hiding.
Evidently, the photo gained a lot after this simple, almost basic processing, but even so, it didn't express me much, so I decided to move on.
Taking advantage of the fact that the trees are showing signs of "autumn", I used a number of different filters that would give me a look typical of this season of the year, and finally, after choosing a result that I found pleasant, I slightly adjusted the hue and warmth to obtain an image of a shy sunset.
