India 31.jpg

Somewhere in no man’s land, at a rest stop on a long bus ride through Gujarat, a goatherd caught my attention. As so often on this trip through India, I could not take my eyes off the artfully draped headdress and garment.
Even or especially here a mobile phone is a must.

Interesting photo, it's a pity that there is only one :)

Thanks! From this guy and this place I have only one.

Too bad, it's a very interesting place. It reminded me of the paintings of ancient painters))
But I meant something else. Here it is very welcome when the post consists of several photos and good text))

Thanks! In the meantime I know that several photos are preferred as I read your comment to the pictures of the week. I will try to post more pictures though I don't really understand that requirement. Sometimes one picture can stand alone or does not even want company. Can you explain me why you prefer several pictures? Just curious...

I agree, it also happens that one photo is self-sufficient. She tells the whole story herself and does not even require explanation. Professionals or artistically trained viewers can appreciate such a photograph.

But on our platform (and not only on ours) there is such a thing as spam. Posting for the sake of posting. Some users simply post one photo and make several such posts at once per day. In this way, they expect to earn a lot of tokens and at the same time not really bother themselves with work.

The curator evaluates not only the quality of the photos, but also the work invested in the creation of the post. Therefore, a post whose content is revealed with good text and supported by several images / photos is much more likely to be supported by curators and brings more reward to the author. It doesn't always happen, but much more often than a post with one photo and a few words.

It is more justified when one photo in a post is intended for some kind of competition. But even in this case, it is preferable to make a post with several photos and nominate one of them for the contest.

In fact, no one is forcing you to do what you don't want to do. It’s just that in curating certain traditions of approach to content evaluation have developed, and in order to achieve success, it’s better to take them into account :)

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I'll keep that in mind as long as I'm on the 14-day program. It's very important for me that I have fun and post contributions I like. Having in mind the curators and the tokens could inhibit me. Above all, I also consider it as work to develop an eye for details, beauty, art, etc. over the years. Somethimes not much work for the moment, but hard work in hte course of years:-). In my opinion, less is sometimes more. But I understand your point of view and I don't yet really grasp the habits and conventions on Steemit. Thank you very much for your kind support!

You are welcome 🖐️ 😊
I understand your attitude to art and to work in it.
Just by adhering to some conventions, you can not only enjoy the work and the result, but also a certain material reward. Why ignore it? :)
One should help the other and you will have more opportunities))
