Hey guys…
Hope you’re all doing great!
Since I haven’t figured out a specific topic yet and just want to practice my writing, I decided to start with another introduction. But this isn’t about me. Let me introduce my partner-in-crime: Dong Dong!
Say hi to everyone, Dong Dong!
So yeah, I actually have quite a few cats, and why am I focusing on Dong Dong? Well, she’s the oldest in the house. She’s now 5 years old and lives mostly indoors, unlike the others who love to roam outside. I give all my cats the freedom to choose, they can play inside or outside. No cages!. They sleep wherever they want, inside or out,but I do bring them indoors at night to their sleeping area. Otherwise, their daily routine is pretty much eat, sleep, and play.
Now, back to Dong Dong. She’s a chubby (and super cute) gray tabby with black accents. Even though she looks “heavy,” Dong Dong is still active and loves to play like any other cat. That said, most of her time is spent… sleeping. Priorities, am I right?
Dong Dong’s Unique Sleeping Style
If there were a free-style sleeping contest, Dong Dong would totally win. Sometimes, she sleeps with her tongue sticking out; other times, she curls up in the weirdest places, like on a stack of papers. Maybe she’s trying to master “minimalist cat living.” There are even moments when her sleeping positions make you wonder, “Is she really comfortable like that?” But hey, that’s Dong Dong for you. Check it out for yourself:
Can Cats Get Mad? Dong Dong’s Grumpy Face Says Yes
Dong Dong is usually quiet, but don’t let that fool you. If she doesn’t get what she wants, she’ll sulk in a corner with the grumpiest face ever. I’m serious, her pouty face looks like she’s saying, “I’m done with the world.” But honestly? It’s hilarious! Instead of being scary, her "angry" face is more like a kid throwing a tantrum over not getting ice cream. Here’s proof:
Introvert Vibes
Dong Dong is the ultimate introvert. If strangers come over, she’ll immediately hide. But once she gets familiar, she’ll chill nearby like, “Okay, I’m comfy now.” She’s also super lowkey and only meows when she really needs something, like when she’s hungry or feeling cuddly. In short, she’s not an attention-seeker but has this deep, soulful personality.
The Star of the House
At home, Dong Dong is pretty much the main star. Why? Well, her sleeping poses alone are a comedy show, and her grumpy expressions are iconic. Watching her daily antics reminds me that happiness doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, just seeing a chubby cat sleeping peacefully can make all your problems disappear or at least feel less urgent.
There’s so much more I could share about Dong Dong, but honestly, it might turn into a full-blown book if I keep going, haha. For now, I’ll wrap up her story here. If you’re curious or want to see more photos of her, let me know in the comments, and I’ll send you a bunch, haha!
Cheers, Dong Dong! 😎
Next time, I’ll be writing about Kopi the civet. Stay tuned!
