I certainly feel this way about South Africa, more specifically, the Western Cape. This place will forever hold residence in my heart and I can't imagine the rest of my life without it. It absolutely feels like home, for many reasons. I can't believe I leave and head back to England on Monday, time really does fly.

Changing Times: End of an Era

Today I started the slightly sad process of organizing my office, specifically to pack down and get rid of the final few remnants of what was once my thriving beachcombing business.

Yes, we're changing pace completely today from my usual fare; instead I'm going to talk a little bit about something I did for a living for many years!

I haven't been writing much. My world has been turned upside down so much that I was invaded by a not knowing where to go since my family abandoned me, and not only that, we haven't spoken for 2 months. That left me with such a great feeling of being nobody that I can't recover. At the same time, I am without a job and I can't manage to find one, so I go from calmness to desperation, because before we endured everything as a family and now alone, with no one, only my little dogs that I have to feed and spend money that I no longer have. It's my new reality.

The Affair of Bleat-s and Baa-s | Sheep and Goat

So whose sheepfold is this? It belongs to my father. Ever since his retirement, he has invested in many projects like these. Sometimes it's orange orchards, other times crop fields for wheat and vegetable cultivation. Occasionally, it's animal farms. The previous one was a hen shed. And now this sheepfold is his latest passion or, you could say, his latest venture. I can say he is a doctor by profession, still working in a hospital, but a farmer at heart.

Many years ago - in my early 20’s I attended a psychic development course. We would do all sorts of practical stuff each week which was intended to heighten our connection to “things unseen” I suppose you could say… and I am not specifically referring to things of an eerie nature or ghosts and such, but rather - energy work.

Preparing for a travel like this, to a top destination that is unique, distant and expensive, both in terms of time and finance, one researches a lot in advance. Of course, not all people are like that, but for Iceland, I am certainly of that type. I don't want to go there and miss any gem!
