Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all doing great and if you're not, you will be soon! Reviewing my old drawings, I realized that I have very good works in traditional. For those who don't know, I started in the drawing world like most of you, drawing in traditional. Then I came up with the idea of making a drawing series where I take my old drawings and illustrate them again, but this time in digital and share it with the WORLD OF XPILAR community for their digital art contest.

Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Revisando mis dibujos antiguos, me di cuenta que tengo muy buenos trabajos en tradicional. Para los que no sepan, yo comencé en el mundo del dibujo como la gran mayoría, dibujando en tradicional. Entonces se me ocurrió la idea de hacer una serie de dibujo en donde tome mis dibujos viejos y los ilustre nuevamente, pero esta vez en digital y así también compartirlo en la comunidad de WORLD OF XPILAR para su concurso de arte digital.

I started making the sketch, taking the original drawing as a reference, only this time I made a few changes and improvements, so I could continue working on the color. One of the things I have been working on improving is the line art, what I do is make a first line art in gray and then I make a second one, but in black and I love the contrast in both line arts.

Comencé haciendo el boceto, tomando como referencia el dibujo original, solo que esta vez le di unos cuentos arreglos y mejoras, para así proseguir a trabajar el color. Una de las cosas en las que he estado trabajando en mejorar, es en el line art, lo que hago es hacer un primer line art de color gris y luego hago un segundo, pero en negro y me encanta ese contraste que hay en ambos line arts.

When I worked and had all the line art, I started working on the color. I took as a reference the color palette of the original drawing in traditional, only that I took it this time a little more to more grayish colors and not as saturated as the original drawing. I used the brushes that I have been downloading over time in my drawing software, which are watercolor and markers to work all the color in this illustration, as they are the brushes that have best adapted to my digital drawing style and make me feel like I'm painting on paper.

Cuando trabaje y tuve todo el line art, paso a trabajar el color. Tome como referencia la paleta de color del dibujo original en tradicional, solo que la lleve esta vez un poco mas a colores mas grisáceos y no tan saturados como el dibujo original. Use los pinceles que ido descargando con el tiempo en mi programo de dibujo, que son los de acuarelas y marcadores para trabajar todo el color en esta ilustración, ya que son los pinceles que mejor se han adaptado a mi estilo de dibujo en digital y me hacen sentir que estoy pintando en papel.

I was working for a couple of hours on this one drawing, adding and doing all the color work little by little in the whole illustration. Without a doubt this has been one of the best drawings, in terms of color work that has been closer to my traditional drawing style, which I like, since that's what I've been working on for a while now, trying to make both worlds balanced and similar to each other and I think I'm finally achieving it.

Estuve trabajando un par de horas en este dibujando, agregando y haciendo todo el trabajo de color poco a poco en toda la ilustración. Sin duda este ha sido uno de los mejores dibujos, en cuanto al trabajo de color que se ha acercado más a mi estilo de dibujo en tradicional, lo cual me gusta, ya que es lo que ando trabajando desde hace un tiempo, tratar de que ambos mundos estén equilibrados y se asemejen el uno del otro y creo que por fin lo estoy logrando.
