We all crave to meet like minded people. We become members of this and that, we search online for the perfect match. Or at least a match. But sometimes it doesn't need all that. Just go out and do what you love. Don't pretend and play a game. Just do.

Two men I captured playing chess on the street in a hot, very hot afternoon in Havana, Cuba. It was so hot that the people who were out at the time were moving like they were in a slow motion. So I thought, it must be the right time to sit down on a bench and take it all in.
These two men didn't speak to one another at all. They were so into the game which they carried on playing. I didn't wait for them to finish. I continued walking down the pedestrian only zone of Paseo de Marti boulevard bordered by trees each side, heading to the Malecon for some refreshing breeze.
Do you think the two men were still there, playing, when I came back? They can be if you wish but I certainly don't know. I kept walking along the seafront leaving Centro Habana behind and I headed to the El Floridita Bar in Old Havana for a night out. Ernest Hemingway used to hang out here in the olden days and even today the place is full of character. Plus, the drinks are not as overpriced as you would expect, £10 for 2 of their signature daiquiris.

Social distancing is something that not many people take seriously nowadays. It is like something we slowly get used to. The same like people not wearing masks in shops and not many say anything.
Those two men just interested in their game more than Covid precaution :)

I can’t agree more with you @stef1 Social distancing is the new normal which we all across the globe have to adapt to and take seriously.
