Lately, I've been drawing on toned paper sheets.
I use markers and colored pencils.
These are my recommended markers for drawing.
For the highlights, I use a white pencil.
A white marker is less forgiving and has less control over brightness values.

White pencils are great on black paper.
Use more white for highlights and less for shadows.
In addition, a white pencil is great with colored pencils.
In some cases, when I only need white, I do use white markers.
To sum it up, white pencils are a good addition to any artist who likes to draw.

Pay attention, drawing a black object is actually different shades (values) of gray.
