I’d love to introduce you a literary contest "The world of Romanie", created with the invaluable collaboration of @art-venture and WOX @xpilar.

I'm an Artist from Ibiza (Spain) and I've been on Steemit since 2017. I usually exhibit my new work once a year in a gallery on the island and I often organise a literary contest simultaneously, which I would now like to replicate on this platform.

How does the competition work?

At the end of this post you can view the ten images of the paintings that this contest is about.
The participants in the contest should write a post with a text (instructions below in CONTEST RULES) inspired by one of the paintings. The style is open (prose, verse, essay, ...).

Assessment of the submitted texts:

The texts will be read by the Artist @romanie, who will select the ten texts she likes best. @romanie will give a higher value to those texts that express what the painting has inspired in the contestant; and not interpretations of what the painter meant by that particular painting.

The ten selected texts will be submitted to an external jury - not yet members of the platform ;) (see JURY MEMBERS below). Each member of the jury will rank the text by preference, according to his/her own criteria; The results obtained by each text will be added up according to its position in each of the lists of the different members of the jury In this way we will obtain the three first prizes.
In the event of a tie @romanie will cast a casting vote to break the tie.

CONTEST RULES

1. The competition is open to the whole STEEMIT community.

2. Post using “World of Xpilar Community page:

3. You must include following tags:

4. Only original texts will be submitted (NOT PLAGIARIZED).
At the end of each text you will include the number of the painting you were inspired by.
The title of the text can be freely chosen by the contestant.

5. The text may be written in Spanish or English, in any literary style and shall not exceed 500
words.

6. Three entries (texts) are allowed per contestant, although the contestant can’t compete for more than one prize.

7. Deadline:
The deadline for submission is the 12th of November 2021, 12 PM Central European Time (CET) and winners will be announced on 19th of November 2020 on @romanie’s account and @art-venture

APPEALS

The prizes cannot be appealed; in any case, only amendments related to a possible error in the counting of points will be admitted, which will be made public at the time of the release of the prizes.

Queridos Steemianos,
Me gustaría presentaros un concurso literario "El mundo de Romanie", con la inestimable colaboración de @art-venture y WOX @xpilar.

Soy una Artista de Ibiza (España) y estoy en Steemit desde 2017. Suelo exponer mis nuevas obras una vez al año en una galería de la isla, y simultáneamente suelo organizar un concurso literario que ahora me gustaría replicar en esta plataforma.

¿Cómo funciona el concurso?

Al final de este post puedes ver diez imágenes de mis cuadros sobre los que versa este concurso.
Los participantes en el concurso deberán escribir y publicar un texto (ver instrucciones más abajo en BASES DEL CONCURSO) inspirado en uno de los cuadros. El estilo es abierto (prosa, verso, ensayo, ...).

Valoración de los textos presentados:

Los textos serán leídos por mí (@romanie). Seleccionaré los diez textos que más me gusten. Valoraré más aquellos textos que expresen lo que el cuadro ha inspirado en el concursante; y no interpretaciones de lo que la pintora quiso expresar con ese cuadro en concreto.
Los diez textos seleccionados se someterán a un jurado externo -que aún no es miembro de la plataforma ;) (ver miembros del jurado más abajo). Cada miembro del jurado clasificará los textos según su propio criterio; Los resultados obtenidos por cada texto se sumarán según su posición en cada una de las listas de los diferentes miembros del jurado De esta manera obtendremos los tres primeros premios.
En caso de empate @romanie emitirá un voto de calidad para desempatar.

REGLAS DEL CONCURSO

1. El concurso está abierto a toda la comunidad STEEMIT.

2. Los textos deberán publicarse utilizando la "página de la comunidad de World of Xpilar":

Al final del texto el concursante incluirá el número del cuadro en el que se ha inspirado su texto.

5. El texto podrá estar redactado en español o en inglés, en cualquier estilo literario y no excederá las 500 palabras.
6. Se admiten 3 textos por concursante, aunque éste no podrá optar a más de un premio.

7 Plazo de presentación:
El plazo de presentación finaliza el 12 de noviembre de 2021, a las 12 PM hora central europea (CET) y los ganadores se anunciarán el 19 de noviembre de 2020 en la cuenta de @romanie y @art-venture

APELACIONES

Los premios no son recurribles; en todo caso, sólo se admitirán modificaciones relacionadas con un posible error en el cómputo de las puntuaciones otorgadas por el jurado y que se harán públicas en el momento de la liberación de los premios.
