Pelargonium is not only the relative of the geraniums that many of us know. There are also pelargoniums that are part of the succulent plants, such as this Pelargonium tetragonum which I had the opportunity to buy at a plant fair and which I now grow with great satisfaction on my terrace.
This succulent plant is native to South Africa and therefore is found well in warm and sunny climates such as that of my region. It does not need particular care and even its multiplication is very simple and takes place by cutting. Its elongated stems can reach up to 2 meters but it is the flowering that makes them truly unique and very particular. The cost is not low and medium-sized seedlings can be purchased for around 6 euros.
Its flowering begins in May and continues throughout the summer.
Here are my pelargoniums.
