Landscape photography in Bavaria-Germany / Landschaftsfotografie in Bayern-Deutschland (Part 1)

In the next few articles I'll show my approach to landscape photography during my vacation. The pictures are not arranged chronologically but are intended to demonstrate the selection of the motif and the search for the optimal point for the exposure. We are in the Bavarian Forest, on the Small Arbersee.

In den nächsten Artikeln zeige ich meine Herangehensweise an Landschaftsfotografien wärend meines Urlaubs. Die Bilder sind nicht chronologisch angeordnet sondern sollen die Auswahl des Motives und das Suchen des optimalen Punktes für die Aufnahme demonstrieren. Wir befinden uns im Bayerischen Wald, am Kleinen Arbersee.

Right at the beginning of the path is this quite dominant rock with a beautiful tree behind it, the red fruits of which conjure up wonderful contrasts.

Direkt am Anfang des Weges befindet sich dieser recht dominante Felsen mit einem wunderschönen Baum dahinter, dessen rote Früchte herrliche Kontraste zaubern.

Further to the left is the first floating island, a natural feature of this lake.

Weiter links davon die erste schwimmende Insel, eine natürliche Besonderheit dieses Sees.

Looking to the right we can see the distant bank with the forests and mountains in the background. Fog or clouds spread and float into the valley. This is my first motif that, like all the others, I capture in two versions. One as a briefly exposed image with the natural colors and one as a long exposure with a slightly bluish tint and very high-contrast colors.

In rechter Blickrichtung sehen wir das weit entfernte Ufer mit den Wäldern und Bergen im Hintergrund. Nebel oder Wolken machen sich breit und schweben ins Tal. Dies ist mein erstes Motiv das ich wie alle weiteren in zwei Versionen festhalte. Einmal als kurz belichtetes Bild mit den natürlichen Farben und einmal als Langzeitbelichtung mit leicht bläulicher Färbung und sehr kontrastreichen Farben.
