This is me throwing on the potters wheel, or as I prefer to say, playing in the mud! This started out as a approximately one pound ball of clay, and the first step is to center it on the spinning wheel. If it's off-center, you will have an uneven finished product.
After it's centered you can begin to shape the clay, keeping the wheel spinning.
It's starting to look like a bowl here! But after this it will need to be trimmed once it's "leather hard" to give it a more refined foot and shape
