I saw that day on FB the pictures of a family I know who moved to Toronto in 2019. What struck me was that they were all wearing clothes with inscription "Canada" in different variations. Even: "this is my home".
That shocked me. In a good way, of course. For the first time. From their photos, I understood that this country really gave them something, made them feel good, took care of them. It has shown an attitude and thought for them, for its citizens. And in fact, this is why they left Bulgaria and why I also want to leave it: the state does not show the slightest care and interest for its people. And that is what is most hopeless here.
And you are really lucky to end up in the right country.😊

Celebrating My First Canada Day 🎉🇨🇦
Hi soulsdetour, first of all sorry for my late answer and thank you for sharing that story. It's heartwarming to hear how the family you know has found a sense of belonging in their new home. Canada truly has a special way of making people feel welcomed and valued😊 I understand your feelings about wanting to find a place that offers that kind of care and support for its citizens. I hope that wherever your journey takes you, you find the same sense of happiness and community. Wishing you all the best 🌸
