Today I went hunting to the tropical forest in our city in the hope of finding various types of wild plants that are beneficial for health and have economic value, and luckily my hunt today was fruitful because I found a kecombrang tree (Etlingera elatior) that grows wild in tropical forests, this plant can be consumed by cooking it with vegetables while the flowers can be used as food coloring, this was commonly done by people in the past before artificial coloring was discovered by experts, so society in general at that time use Etlingera elatior as a food coloring such as cakes for holidays, weekend snacks and so on.

However, as a result of the observations I have made on this plant, I found several interesting facts about the kecombrang plant as follows, this plant has thick leaves, dark green, stems that rise high, while the flowers are dark red, the flower petals are neatly arranged and of course it has a very distinctive fragrant aroma so it is easy to distinguish the aroma of the combrang from other flowers, so I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to observe this beautiful flower growing in tropical forests.

Thanks very much for visiting my blog, in the last few days I have enjoyed observing many plants and other wild animals, see you in my next observation post;
