More Political Stuckism

written by @ronthroop

I recall a story about George Grosz leaving the Great War emancipated from humanity, and later dressing up as a rich dandy, strolling about the streets of Paris openly hostile to governments of all shapes and sizes. Old fat cat leaders, aided by the cowardice, fear, and the knee-jerk reaction of military men, committed genocide to a generation of hopeful, innocent youth. Grosz would never forgive them their psychotic trespass…

Curator Cat Considers Communities: Why and When do People Lose Interest?

written by @curatorcat

Greetings Fine Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia! We felt like taking a break from the cat content today, and turn our attention towards something else that is probably important to all of us here on Steemit — it certainly is to me, having been here for six years and change — which is community building and maintenance. Most of us who have grown up in the Age of the Internet perhaps are (or have have been) part of various communities on the web, at one time or another. We might not think of them as "communities" exactly but they are nonetheless communities.

My Personal Journey to Success: Balancing Independence, Family, and Faith.

written by @hudamalik20

As humans, each of us experiences life differently, and our criteria for success vary greatly. What one person may achieve effortlessly might require significant effort from another, making success a deeply personal concept. We strive to achieve our goals through the methods we deem most appropriate, and our definition of success evolves over time as we encounter new experiences and challenges. For me, as a student currently dependent on my parents, my idea of success is multifaceted. My parents have worked tirelessly, saving money and forgoing their own desires to provide me and my siblings with a good education. They have invested in our future with the hope that we will become independent and successful.

Sensitive John

written by @wakeupkitty

I don't like vegetables don't you hear them scream out of pain? Plants don't like to be touched, picked and eaten. It gives them stress just like me. Little John refused to eat what the nanny called vitamins. No matter what she said, how she begged he kept his mouth shut. Group work is not my piece of cake. Why should I do all the hard work while they take the credit? Sorry, teacher but I'm out of here. I refuse to do the work you get paid for. John turned his back, ignored the teacher and continued his work. He was the best and most talented student. No one could force him into something he didn't feel to.

A Simple Act of Kindness: How a Puncture Repairman Made My Day || A Half Dollar Job?

written by @abdu.navi03

For last some days I wake up late in the morning as I go to the university on my bike, my personal transport so I tend to sleep in and then rush to my classes, mostly skipping the first class. After classes, I do some work and participate in different society activities that I’ve joined, and then I get back to my research work in the evening and do other activities. But today it was different for me as I had to reach early because I had a meeting with a senior doctor who needed my help with a case he got at the hospital. So I woke up early and did some morning chores before quickly getting on my bike.
