The Flock at Twilight
Upon the shores where twilight gently falls,
A flock of flamingos, poised in light,
Arrayed in pink beneath the whispering skies,
Doth glide upon the tranquil, mirrored stream.
Their slender forms, in graceful unity,
Do arch in chorus, bending low and free,
As if in answer to some ancient hymn
That stirs the heart of nature’s deepest dream.
O’er meadows green and waters soft they roam,
A fleeting vision in the amber dusk,
Their tender eyes reflect the fading glow,
And gentle wings, like music, stir the air.
They stand—immobile—silent in repose,
Yet speak in every motion of their grace,
A symbol of the quiet peace that grows
When stillness settles in this sacred place.
How pure the joy of flamingos in their flight,
A sight that lifts the soul beyond the fray,
For in their beauty, Nature's voice is heard,
And we, in awe, are but a breath away.
