I’ve seen people talk about banana blossoms quite a bit as a vegan alternative to meat / fish. I finally found some at my local coop store! I had no real idea what to do with them. I tried them raw but they were not nice at all, so I just tried cooking them and they were really delicious. I just cooked garlic in a bit of coconut oil then added the banana blossoms with some broccoli, seasoning and coconut milk. Then served it with some raw vegan coleslaw I made yesterday using cashew nuts and apple cider vinegar.
Has anyone else tried banana blossoms? How did you prepare them?
