Kaleidoscopic collage on the basis of an aerial image.

The image illustrating this post is the result of a horizontal split of the original file, shown below, and then a further vertical split. The basis of the final work is an aerial photograph of the ponds of the salt mines of Ibiza, and was taken during a helicopter flight and waiting over the ponds forced by the airport control tower before landing.

The end result is somewhat surreal, although I think it's a good exercise in experimenting with symmetry.

The RAW file was processed in Capture One and the collage was edited in Photoshop, where I reframed the image a bit to remove a line that made the final collage more complex..

La imagen que ilustra esta entrada es el resultado de desdoblar el archivo original de forma horizontal, que se muestra abajo, y posteriormente otro desdoblamiento en vertical. La base de la obra final es una fotografía aérea de los estanques de las salinas de Ibiza, y fue tomada durante un vuelo en helicóptero y esperando sobre los estanques obligados por la torre de control del aeropuerto antes de tomar tierra.

El resultado final es un tanto surrealista, aunque creo que es un buen ejercicio para experimentar con la simetría.

El procesado del archivo RAW se hizo en el programa Capture One y el montaje posterior del collage en Photoshop, donde reencuadré un poco la imagen para eliminar una linea que hacía más compleja el collage final.
