Hello, hello my dear steemians! I hope you are having a great time! Today I am very excited because it's my first time writing for this brand new comunity #SteemitWeekly. My best wishes to @papi.mati in this awesome project! So.. Here is my entry! I hope you'll enjoy it!

@geos90's Top 5 Curious & Unconventional Traditions of Venezuelan people

5) Blessings everywhere and to everyone 🙏🏼

We are a very catholic country
It's totally normal and practically an obligation in the families to ask for the blessings of their parents saying "bendición" (blessing), it will be answered with "Dios te bendiga" (God bless you!). This act will be repeated each time you see or say goodbye to your mom, dad, grandmother, grandfather, uncles, aunts, and basically all your older relatives... If you don't say it... Other people will think that you are rude... and nobody wants to be a black sheep... Hahaha!

4) People who love to eat Sweet Beans 😳

Rice, fried meat and black beans with sugar
When we talk about food we have a lot of different tastes... In the north eastern part of Venezuela is very common to put sugar into your black beans... Of course is not for everybody, personally I really enjoy it but I have to admit that it's weird hahaha! Would you ever try it?

3) Fun & Wet Carnival Celebration 🎭💧

Be careful, somebody could throw you into the pool
In Carnival's eve each city has their own allegorical parade and also people go to the streets using customes... But for me the berry in the cake is that our carnival is a wet celebration. You have to be careful these days somebody could get you wet using water, balloons, water guns, even hoses... So... Better run if you want to keep dry 👀

2) Asking for Salt is only for witches and sorcerers 🧂

If your neighbor ask you for give him/her some salt to prepare some recipe you must say NO, or at least sell your salt to him/her for a cent. People think that if you are asking for salt you are a witch and with bad purposes... Nobody will give you salt for free.. You know... superstition is flavorless sometimes 🤣

1) Every day is a good day 🌞

We are happy people, even in the bad times we can keep the optimism and see the future with hope. Even if a Venezuelan got robbed, hurted or if his girlfriend abandon him... Allways will wake up with a big smile 💪🏼. We cannot understand depression, for us, everything can be solved with good mood and hard working. Right now our country is not in its best moments but equally people are still doing as much as possible to go ahead and fight day by day ✌🏼

Every day will be the best!

More strength to you @papi.mati
