Hello Steem Ghana my name is Abdul Rahman and this is my first time of taking part in a contest, I will do my best in this contest and will engage in more if I can.
I would like to use this opportunity to say a very big Happy Father's Day to all father's for the best of their best to take good care of us. God Bless you no matter where you are.
Every is a blessing seeing my Dad in good condition. We greet him everyday to see how he is doing but never had the chance to tell him how grateful we are to him for bringing us into this world. We are 5 children in all and am fortunate to be the third born of my nuclear family, Dad will always say am the stubbornly child among them for they believe that third borns are stubborn in their cultural beliefs.
Mr. ALHASSAN MOHAMMED is my father married to Abukari Gyesi Awabu. We are five in total which we consist of 3 males and 2 females. Mr. Mohammed a graduate of Winneba where he studied sign language in education. My Dad is deaf by nature, as a result of his situation he was posted to Savelugu School for the Deaf where he started his career as a teacher. He retired in the year 2018 and now a trader and a farmer.
I would like to share to everyone how I will be celebrating this year's Father's day. Well I don't have anything in mind for we have never celebrated such. I would like to share a brief memorable moments of me and my Dad.
This man is a Superman in my life for I can't thank him more, my Mom is equally the best and i will say God bless them both. My father was a teacher at the Savelugu School for the Deaf but now has retired. We didn't spend much time with him because he will always comes home on weekends. Eversince he retired from work, I had a very adventurous time with him for I was the one who travels with him on the bike to the village and back. My elder brother was engaged with his work and my sister who is the second born to my father is married and blessed with a kid, I was the one left to help him around.
One fruitful meeting with him we decided to embark on a journey to a village called Kpalisogu were we sent our cattle for care and also where they're into farming of rice through irrigation. I had to chance to engage into irrigation farming which was very cool, that's when I developed a taste in farming.
I learnt alot from my Dad be it at home or on a trip. At home he will sit us dowm and tell us his life story and also the history of our family. My friends who usually came around will join us and listen to what he has for us. My Dad is very supportive despite the fact that he is unable to hear and has a poor eyesight. I was always the interpretator of my Dad because of the situation he was in.
After his retirement as a teacher he continues to engage in farming because he says that was how he was raised by his Dad that is our grandfather. Today which marks the day for celebrating father's day, we went out to the field to continue from where we stopped tilling the land the previous time. This is how we intend on celebrating this day.
Dad , thank you for bringing me onto this world. I am very grateful for what you've been doing and still doing for me. You hear every nonsense I have filter it and give me your thought, attend to my problems as you always do, share a word of wisdom with me and everyone around us, no matter the situation you always find a possible solution to my problems. We can never ask for much. Dad like no other. I love so much and will make you proud one-day by ALLAH'S will. I promise not to let you down, you've done alot and deserve the best from me. Thank you very much and God bless you and increase you in patience and courage.
I would like to use this platform to say a big thank you to Steem Ghana for giving me this opportunity to wish my Dad a Happy Father's day. Thanks for hearing me out.
