Quote of the Day:

“Coming back to where you started isn't the same as never leaving.” Terry Pratchett

Meaning of the Quote:

Sometimes you have to return to your starting point so that you can get a better understanding of how far you have progressed. However, this kind of return is not the same as never leaving.

Discussion of the Quote:

It is important to return to where you started. This kind of return is done so that you can measure the growth of your progress. Therefore, when you return for this reason, it is not the same as if you never left.
Moreover, when you go away, you can come back so that you can know the place that you came from in new and different ways. People will also see you differently when you return. Therefore, once you return where you started, it's not an equivalent as never leaving.

Final Thoughts:

Yes, you have to leave where you are so that you can progress and move on with your life, You can not allow inertia to set in. You have to keep moving or life itself will move you one way or another whether you want to or not.
So, move at your own pace and where you would like to be and if you would like to revisit where you started you'll do so also . However, it'll never be an equivalent as never leaving.
