On Monday, I awoke at a fairly early 5:45 a.m., but I mean, I can never complain. I took a bath before going downstairs to make breakfast. I prepared a traditional English breakfast for myself because I needed the fuel for my first day of work. I was prepared to leave the house at 6:28.
I had already arrived at work for the first time in 45 minutes.
I was shocked to arrive early because just my aunt, who helped me secure my internship, and the human resource manager were present. I thus waited for a while for everyone to report for duty and handle their separate areas. The manager of human resources took me on a tour of the facility to demonstrate how each department operates. We went through security and entered after I was given a reflector.
This is the warehouse where the items are brought in, as you can see. The first division was inbound,
which is where the warehouse receives the items. the products are received inbound and are kept in inventory.
Additionally, this is the inventory where they keep things that are from inbound.
When an order is placed to ship a specific region, smaller orders are arranged here before being sent to the consolidation area.
After the goods have been consolidated, they are sent to the outbound department,
where staff members prepare and create invoices for packages to be received by services and transportation.
As you can see, they use a phone for the scanning when a package is dropped off to be picked up. The package is then scanned and entered into the system to show that services and transportation have picked up the package. It is then thrown into the basket.
Every basket displays the region to which the package is being sent.
Then, an M.U (Movable unit) label is created for it to be dispatched. Finally, we have a reverse and after sales department
where, in the event that an order package contains a problem or a customer returns an order, this department investigates the situation, identifies the issue, and takes appropriate action.
When I went for lunch nearby the office at 12:30pm, I was surprised by how at ease the birds seemed.
As you can see, pigeons gather by the food vendor to eat the leftovers that are on the floor.
I returned to the workplace. I went to the manager's appointment. He explained everything to me and said I would be working in several divisions to advance.
I returned to the workplace. I went to the manager's appointment. He explained everything to me and said I would be working in different areas to expand my expertise and skills, so I began at services and transport where I accepted orders and prepared MU for the rest of the day.
I finished my shift at 5:30 p.m. and called it a day. However, due to traffic on the main road, the Uber I called wouldn't cross it,
so I had to move further forward to avoid the traffic before I could order my Uber. When my Uber arrived and picked me up, however, the Uber car had a problem,
so I was dropped off and had to wait for another one. so I waited for a bit before my other Uber arrived
it was also getting dark at this point. I arrived at my house around 6:15
had a shower, and then went downstairs to have dinner. I then went to watch a movie to unwind, fall asleep, and prepare for the next day's at work.
