Dear dairy,
I'm delighted to share my day's activities with you.Today marks to beginning of a ten-day break before the start of the new academic calender. The original plan was for us to take a month off after the completion of the second semester. This could not happen since there is a need to make up for lost contact hours owing to the covid outbreak last year.
Today is the last day for students to leave campus, and teachers conducted a staff meeting. This gathering aimed to keep us informed about the upcoming semester's events as well as to discuss other important matters.
The meeting started at 10 a.m. and ended at 2 p.m. My school is 95 years old today, and because this is such an important milestone in the school's history, it called for a special celebration to commemorate the occasion on which Achimota School, one of Ghana's most prominent institutions, was founded.
The home economics department made a unique cake, and it was a fantastic time with teachers cutting the cake and tasting it.
Following the break, there will be special activities to commemorate the founding of the school. I had to rush to the bus station to board my four-hour bus ride to Kumasi to join my family. After the meeting, I ran into Rhoda, a coworker, and we snapped a few photos together. Due to our busy schedules at school, we didn't get to see each other much these days, but the little time we did have to take the photos was fantastic.
After that, I went to Circle and purchased a ticket from 2M Express to begin my journey to Kumasi. The bus left at exactly 6 p.m., and I'm hoping to get in Kumasi on time. Traffic and other impediments may lengthen the journey, but there is still chance of arriving in Kumasi on time safely. Hope to share more with you later, have a great weekend.
Wow that was a wonderful diary
