The diary game : 13-12-2022 || The tedious vaccine trials and Laboratory work.

Is quite a while since I share my day with you. As a result, I will be sharing with you to say my daily activities for Monday 13-12-21.

As usual, I woke up around 4:30 AM and started to clean my room. After doing all these, I quickly went to take my bath and went to the room to dress up for work. Immediately I got to the room I had a call from my surpervisor at the work place that I have to report earlier than I usually do.

According to him cleaners were at the lab waiting for me to open the door since the I was the one the key was with. I quickly dressed up and went to the work place. I reported to work at 6:41 am. I wrote down my name in the attendance book. I then ensure that the door was opened and they went on with their cleaning work.

After doing that I greeted my colleagues and moved to my designated lab to clean the working benches and to get ready for the day. I had to spend time preparing 70% ethanol for the cleaning work. I was done after a few minutes. And I spent a few minutes cleaning up my working benches.

At around 8:10 am, I went to the freezer room to get samples out of the freezer that are supposed to be worked on and brought them back to the lab. The fridge contains different samples kept in by different people at different times.

I cleaned and labeled over 300 samples that are supposed to be ready in the middle of this week for shaping. Because the sample containers are very small, it takes a longer period to clean and patience to label.

At around 2:25 pm I was done labeling over 500 samples. I was called by the lab Manager that they needed help on the Sanofi Vaccine trial ongoing in my community. When I got there, I was a sign to the phlebotomy to to help in the sample collection. I work there for over four hours without going for break or resting.

Because of the high number of participants available, we had no option but to seek their service first before we can close which led to us closing around 7:30 PM. I managed to get to the road side and got a tricycle and I successfully arrived home safely. I took my bath once again and went to bed without taking super just because of how tired I was.
