Before i begin, i'd love to say a very big thank you to steem-ghana for this great opportunity of sharing my Christmas experience even though I'm not a Ghanaian but a Nigerian, I must say I'm indeed grateful, hope to come to Ghana soonest😁😁 heard lot of good things about Ghana and I must say I watch some of your movies too, especially when the Ghanaians act with the Nigerians in the Nollywood films, yeah I can remember some of your top actors and actresses, like Ndia Buhari, Yvonne Nelson, Majid Michael, Jackie Appiah, John Dumelo etc. So you see I am not a novice after all😄😄😄.
Now let's go to the contest proper.

According to the dictionary Christmas is a festival, commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ and incorporating various Christian, pre-Christian and secular customs, which is celebrated on December 25 in most places. And moreso christmas comes once in a year, and so one has to spend it well.

I can remember those years we spent out Christmas with Akara balls and bread, because that was what we could afford but thanks to God that the story has changed and it has changed forever, it was weird though but I am happy that despite the covid-19 pandemic we spent Christmas in a unique way last year.
Okay so the way we were brought up we don't go out, yeah we just go to church and attend to other stuffs we are sent to do, so Christmas is not an exception. I never travelled to anywhere to enjoy Christmas couple with the pandemic.

Its a norm in our house that where ever you are so far it's within the reach of home and its not far from home you ought to come back during Christmas, so even when I was at the University, I never dared stay back at school during the Christmas season least you will answer to some query from mom and dad🤗, so all our Christmas galore was at home.
Normally my mom usually take delight in showing up her culinary skills during Christmas season yes this she did because she is a caterer😋😋😋😋.
She will either Cook jellof rice, fried rice, coconut rice, native rice(as in palm oil rice), and she will garnish it with sallad, zobo drink, meat etc., depending on what we could afford🤗🤗🤗.

So one thing momma did differently last year's Christmas was for her to prepare our local delicacy, yes and to crown it all, she prepared my favourite, Affang soup with fufu, I personally decided to make the fufu(gotten from cassava) to make her happy, so that she can garnish my soup with enough meat😂😂😂😁😁😉😉. It was fun, like I mean fun, visitors trooped in and made it all fun and we gladly served them with the soup, most of them were happy eating something different from the normal Christmas rice😊😊😉😋😋😋😆😆.
I can't recount all that we enjoyed during last Christmas but in all I am indebted to Jesus for providing and making us celebrate his birth in a unique way, I can't love Him less, he alone deserves my praise.

Once again thanks for granting me the audience to share my story, I love you all but God loves you more❤❤❤.
Please stay safe and saved.
Much love❤❤
