The Diary Game: Contemplating On What To Teach and Baptismal Service || 23/05/2021

Sunday is here already, had prepared everything already. All I had left was to shower and hit the road. Oh, least I forget, I have a talk today, I was given an assignment to address the congregation on a topic of my own and even though I have tried to come up with something, I have failed miserably at all attempts, but I believe everything will go through even though I'm a little unsure about the outcome. The time came for me to get to the pulpit and share the gospel message and I must admit at the time I was feeling a bit unwell. My heart begun to pound so hard. That is how I get almost always when I am to address the congregation and feel so unprepared. At my opening address, I admitted that I honestly do not know what I am going to be talking about but I hope I do not fail at the attempt. There was just a lot on my mind but I needed the right words just then everyone's attention was focused on me and for the rest of my talk, the room was filled with absolute silence.

Just when I attempted to speak, a though rushed through my mind, I reflected on a chapter I had reflected on earlier when the service begun. It was the parable of the ewe lamb (2 Samuel 12) and the Lord's admonition on the consequences of being judgmental (Matthew 7:1-5). In my mind, David went the extra of condemning to death the perpetrator of such act having forgotten that he does not have clean hands either and by jumping into judgement, he had already condemned himself. Aren't we all like that sometimes?

After church, there was a baptism service for a brother, so we boarded a car to the chapel at Tanakrom since there is no baptismal font here. When we got there, we had to solve another problem, by fetching water from the tanks to help rise the level of water in the font since the pressure from the pipe was very low. It all ended successfully at the end, so we each departed to our homes.
