About my last post I talked about Ghana so I thought I should talk about my area this time.

BASIC DESCRIBTION OF KANVILLI

So I live at kanvilli which is on the Bolga high road in Tamale Ghana. The area was named by the past grant chiefs of the area. Chieftancy issues were taken seriously in those times, which came with rules and regulations. It made the people of kanvilli upright and working. The chiefs of Tamale take it very serious about the names of their verious area. Recently a group of youth came out to give out alot of money so they could change the name of an area. But it was denied. This shows the importance of the culture of the various tribes in Ghana, specifically Tamale.

POPULATION OF KAVILLI

The population of kanvilli is 5395 per last year's calculation. The area is divided into 4. North kanvilli, south kanvilli, east kanvilli and west kanvilli. I stay at north kanvilli.

• NORTH KANVILLI
  North kanvilli is mainly like a residential area. The houses are build in a linear way and there are roads between each line of houses. The place is packed up with houses like story building, self contains and compound houses. This place is limited when it comes to water supply. And the takes always are locked up

• SOUTH KANVILLI
  When it comes to south kanvilli, the houses are mainly like the local ways. The round houses and read sand being used to build them. There are lot of farmers around south kanvilli. I have lots of friends around that side. There is a playing park at that side which everyone plays at. Is a pretty cool place. This side of kanvilli mostly has water supply

• EAST KANVILLI
  East kanvilli is located directly on the Tamale bolga road. Is kind of has the same qualities just like south kanvilli. Is close to the main road and so it becomes really fun at night time. Is always busy around that side even at night time. You can find really cool foods to buy around that side.

• WEST KANVILLI
  West kanvilli is a place I mostly don't go to often. Maybe because I don't have much friends there. But per it looks I think is ok.

ADVANTAGES OF KANVILLI

• is located in the metro of Tamale: It is always easy to go to the market and buy stuff without having to spend too much money on transport.

• It is not a flood area: One of the major problems we have in our societies today is flooding, not only in Ghana. But also around the world. But when it comes to kanvilli, the place always dries up when ever it rains. Even tho we dont have gutters that much.

• Constant power supply: we always find it difficult to have power supply in Ghana here. But so far as electrity supply is concerned, kanvilli always finds it a luck to have power supply almost like all the time. Perhaps, because there is a barracks close to kanvilli.

DISADVANTAGES OF KANVILLI

• Bad roads: The bad nature of kanvilli roads had lead to so many accident that took innocent lifes. The heads of kanvilli would promise to contracts proper road, but each time they promise, they fail. I have witnessed several accident on the roads of Tamale and it is very bad. But hopefully the roads get constructed soon.

• No water supply: The shortage of water has been a bigger problem since the day I came to the area with my family. Many residents move from place to place in search of water. And others have end up buying a polytank just to preserve some water.

• No social amenities: The issue of social amenities is becoming worse. Nothing is building nothing is been said.

Even with the above disadvantages I want to believe kanvilli is one of the best places you can ever visit and I hope to be able to see some new people either from steemit or any other place.
