Good evening steemians

I am @jairoi. I hope you all are doing ok. I just wanted to share with you guys about Tamale, my hometown.

TAMALE, GHANA

Tamale is a city in the northern part of Ghana. It was named as the fastest growing city in west Africa years ago. It is know for its tradition lifestyle of the Dagombas. Dagombas are the rightful owners of Tamale, even though some other tribes and ethics are also living in it. It is also known for its peaceful lifestyle and tolerance to the other tribes. The behavior of the people of Tamale can be described as one of a kind. They try to always give a helping hand in every situation possible. They accommodate strangers as if they were their family.

YOUTH

The boys in tamale always find a way to strive very hard to achieve their goals and to get whatever they need and want. They are hardworking and will help one another.
The youth are always respectful to the elders in the community. they will respect and take heed to every advice given to them. One major element that works pretty well in tamale is respect. We respect what the elders say and that makes it possible to respect one another and have patience towards one another.
One disadvantage that the youth has is that they do drugs and it is destroying them. But lately advices have been coming from the elders and hopefully the boys will listen. They like to play games

HOUSES IN TAMALE

The houses in tamale are growing from round houses to box houses. At first the houses used to be build in a circular form and covered with leaves. But now because of the progressive growth of the region. People Are now moving to building self contains and box houses. Infact the round houses are just a few left in the region and can only be found in the rural areas. The average people in Tamale should be able to have a tap water, access to electricity, security, and freedom.

LANGUAGE

The people of tamale are Dagombas who speak the language called Dagbani. Most of the people from outside say it is very difficult to learn the language. I see some truth in that, due to its complicated nature. But regardless of that if you are really into learning it, you will always find a way to do it.

COSTUMES AND TRADITION

It is very well known by other tribes when they see a Dagomba man. This is because their style of dressing is unique. They wear a smock. They can either wear 3 or 4 smocks on one occassio. They will wear a long hat and bent it backwards. They have their own designed drums which they play. They play, sing and dance to it. Some of them cultural practices can be found in wedding ceremonies, marriages, naming ceremonies and Damba festival

STREETS

The streets in tamale are a little bit busy but not as busy compared to Accra. There are more motor cycle in Tamalethan in Accra. Every morning and evening the road is been swept and kept tidy. There are police at every traffic which makes the law work. There are also beggers alongside the road in town. And as well as stores along the roads

COST OF LIVING IN TAMALE

Tamale is the cheapest place to live in. The cost of living here is very low. There will always be food on the table. The prizes of goods are sold at the lowest which makes the town loved and admired by other tribes. They come here to stay and have fun for a while

WHEATHER CONDITION

It is very born in tamale. Infact the north in general are the hottest among the regions in Ghana. Which lead to the high demand of airconditions.

I hope you get to learn one or two things in my town. Come make a visit and ya will enjoy it.
