A tour in the upper east region || Part 3|| Paga chapter

Hello fellow steemians, I hope everyone is doing well.

Those who read my posts know about a tour I am having in the upper east region of Ghana. In my second post on this series, I posted about going to Kandiga. This time around I went to Paga, a border town in the region that shares a border with Burkina Faso. A lot of you have heard about this town because of the tourist site located here. Thus, the Crocodile pond.

My work is such that we go to different places in the region to take samples for our research work. I work in a research center so we go and take the samples from various communities to work on in the lab. This has given me the chance to visit new places in the region. I have also posted some pictures for you to see what the places look like.

We mostly leave at dawn at around 3:00 am to get to the place early. On this day, we left at 4:00 am. As usual, the weather was very cold but we had no choice. I forgot to take my pullover again and the weather put me in my place.

We finished it around 7:00 am since we had less work to do compared to the other days and we left for the office. After an activity like this, you are allowed to go home, make up for the night and then return to work to continue working.

Paga is a very nice place like all the other places we visited previously. But this place is more developed compared to the others. The settlement is not scattered, the people live near each other. The part we went to had a nice grassed football field and some schools. They had a well-constructed main road since most heavy-duty vehicles use this road “to and fro” Burkina Faso. People who are close by and have not seen a crocodile can visit the Paga Crocodile Pond to see some.

Below are some pictures I took of Paga.
