My Name is Ewusi Acquah but due to the music I do now my friends call me Kay ken. I am 19 years of age I stay at Accra,Ghana and completed Shs this year. I am planning ahead to continue to the tertiary level but for now I want to engage my self a little more in the music stuff
I started music at the of 17 years that was 2019 officially
Not because I’m born into the music family but because a friend of mine encouraged me to do it because I had a vibe to music.
It wasn’t easy thou but by Gods care and guidance I was able to go through certain stages in the music game.
I do rap and afro beat I have a couple of freestyles which I post them on these socials like instagram,Facebook and on twitter as well.
Friends really support my craft and I’m really amazed and happy about that. they believe I can do it and do it better.
I was doing music on my own,I mean every recording and video, I do it myself because I had no money to go to the studio to record so I had to strive hard to do them myself.
Sometimes when I want to record, I use my cell phone to record and after that I do the video with the same phone myself .This is never easy thou
So as I was doing things on my own , I came across a label Called GREATNEXXT MUSIC! A Family that supports up and coming musicians to reach to their high esteem. They sent me a message in my dm on Instagram saying my works are very good and I need more improvement.
So I was asked to make a freestyle with any video I want to and send it to them. If I am able to qualify, I will be given a chance to record and shoot a video free.
I was really that very moment
So I rushed to my friends place and requested for his cell to make a freestyle video.And i Also explained everything which has happened to him.And sine he believes I can do it, he gave me a go ahead to use his cell phone for the freestyle.
After I was done with the freestyle, I posted it and tagged them on Instagram.so by then I was waiting for their reply
A day later I was called that I have qualified !
What an Amazing moment happened in my life! I was really happy and even tears started flowing
So I was given location to their place to record and shoot the video.
After we were done I was praised for my hard work!
I came home that very day and explained it to my friend that gave me his cell phone to shoot the video.
A week later, the video was out on all platforms.
And do you know the joyful thing?
The video went viral and many mainstream artistes endorsed me for my hard work !
GREATNEXXT MUSIC believed in me and Now I’m working 24/7 with them now!
