Jobs and Career Paths

The paths we choose in terms of career is a long journey just that can meander throughout our entire lifetime till our final destination is achieved. The fact that one may be working at a particular place at any particular point in time in their lives does not define their careers instead it only tells of their jobs and it doesn't put a hold on the individual.

When you find yourself in a situation because of which you cannot work towards your life's dream of having a particular career choice be not be dismayed, so long as there's life everything is possible. We must get to know the differences between our jobs and our careers. This would help us understand things or people better.

And so if you wanted to have a career as a health worker, perhaps you wanted to become a medical officer but because of finances or perhaps how the education went whiles in school you couldn't get this one straight away, you are at liberty to start from somewhere, say a general nurse practitioner, work your way up, save enough and then finally upgrade to that point.

Along this journey, you can become a trader, a teacher, a writer, etc, and still focus on the same career path you have chosen for yourself until self-actualization becomes a reality. And so let's be in the know, let's not be dismayed, and let's not judge harshly because of any particular situation. I am optimistic that this would help us all keep an open mind.
