The Diary Game: 13/01/2022 - My Second Day Of Common Core Program Was Successful

Greetings friends! It is another great over here in Ghana - Nsuta, Sekyere Central District. Thanks to all for your great support in my Steem journey.

In my today's Diary Game, I would like to share what I did with you.

Today is the second day of Common Core Program (CCP). All teachers in Ghana are taken part in this workshop since it's national Program for all, with the exception of teachers having a peculiar challenges.

In the morning, I woke up very early around 6 am. My first action to begin my activities was to paste and take my bath. When I finished, I pressed on my shirts, had some plain rice and stew as my breakfast.

I dressed up, took my bag and set off. When I stepped outside, I met a colleague teacher who was also going to Nsutamnan SHS where the workshop was taking place. The program began exactly 8:30 am. Fortunately, we had tricycle which was going to the place where we bothered to the place. The fare was only GH¢ 1.

Today the workshop was very intensive since there were many things to cover. The first topic to cover was to learn how to prepare the scheme of work in this new teaching method. There are a lot of things which have changed when you compare this new system of teaching with the old one.

We were given cardboards to prepare scheme of work in group for the whole semester. I led my group to to do the ruling of lines and writing of the preambles and the ingredients in the scheme of work.

When we finished, we were asked to present our work in groups for further discussion. At this point too, I led my groups to paste the cardboard and present the information on it. Questions were asked on our presentation where my group members helped us to answer them with the best of our knowledge.

At 12:30 am, we break for our lunch which was Ga kenkey, shito and sardine. Each teacher was served nicely where we took our meals. The break lasted for 1hour 30mins before we began the next session of the lectures.

Our next lecture was on how to prepare lesson plan for this Common Core Program (CCP). We can say this is the main course work in this program.

After the facilitator guided us through how to prepare the lesson plan, we were asked to go home and prepare our lesson plan at home.

We closed at exactly 3:30pm where we departed to our various homes.
