Greetings to all Steemains, to day
I will like to share with you a little thought about aims to achieve.
This simply means arranging aims according to their other of importance.
Doing so, naturally places items in urgent zones.
Important issues will only look important by the ladder of other issues they climb.
And situations will not be important until they are seen as important.
The reason many procrastinate is that the activities lying at the top of their plan can be done anytime.
In other words, no vacuum or deficit is created if they are not done today.
Urgent are the things one cannot afford to leave undone.
People are not motivated into urgency unless they understand what they will lose when an assignment is undone.
It does not matter even if such assignment are number one on the scale of preference.
The positive aspect of urgency comes by identifying the need that pursuing an assignment will meet in one’s life.
In other words we all must be weary of pursuing assignment that do not meet a need.
Make sure aims belong to the reality of your possibility domain. Aims must be achievable.
To fail at times is natural but to have to fail in every endeavour can be very discouraging.
One will therefore need to assess aims carefully. Unachievable aims are not aims after all.
Apart from the pain of failure there will also be the wasting of precious resources into unachievable aims.
We need to concentrate on suppositions or chances. One sign of a sound mind is the ability to identify the things we can do best.
Aims do not descend they are attained.
Aims not pursued are obstructions to growth, so we need to pursue them.
Aims should be pursued consistently.
Aims should also be pursued narrowly.
What these means is that there is the need for unblurred focus.
The diversity of human needs calls for divergent aims at a particular time.
However if we attempt to pursue all at once they will end up being done by halves.
The good news is that achieving some of the aims leads to the achievement of the others.
It calls for wisdom to identify which one is a lead aim.
When King Solomon was confronted with the grace to make one request before God, He asked for wisdom.
Being able to identify lead aim, God added to him the other aims he naturally needed in life.
To achieve an aim we also need to know how it can be done.
Timing is an important factor, It is a fact that all things will not prosper at all times.
Set deadlines, they create urgency and eradicate procrastination.
There is no situations in this life as tiring as laziness. The lazy person is always tired.
Laziness wears out. Activity prepares the body for more activities.
Poverty is not necessarily lack of money but the inability to meet reoccurring needs.
The first step towards meeting our needs is rising up with the intention to do so.
Do not belongs to the same place, hands here stand for work or particular activity, it can also be described as lack of concentration.
This happens many times when we are not interested in what we are doing or when excellence is not our goal for doing what we do.
That is why we should engage the mind before we start working.
Work must be seen as a natural part of life, not because nothing will be done without our active involvement.
Many hard working people have died and others have continued from where they abruptly left off.
You and your dependents are the only person who lose when you die before your time; work does not.
Progress is made up movements and stops.
The fact that one is not stopping does not necessary mean that he is being progressive.
Stops are good for rest, refreshments, assessments, projections, transitions, etc.
I end here with much love for all STEEMAINS.
Thank you for reading.
