Dear Diary,
I’m sure you’re familiar with that feeling of excitement when you’re about to get back online after a couple of days or a week of being disconnected from the internet and social media? I’ve been dreaming of this day a week now after my phone developed a battery issue.
I haven’t posted a while because my phone got broken and my day today was about fixing it.
I woke up feeling really happy and excited thinking about the one thing I had planned for the today, fixing my phone.
I woke up at 10am to bath and prepare for the journey because I was going to fix it at Tamale. I took a taxi from Savelugu to Tamale. I went to the Savelugu-Tamale station at 11 and we were in Tamale by 12. Savelugu and Tamale are close so it wasn’t a long journey. This might’ve been the first taxi ride I’ve had not knowing any passenger in the car.
I called and met up with a friend, @desiigner when I got to Tamale. He was my connect to the phone repairer. We “linked up” and he took me to the guy.
From information I got from friends who changed their batteries just recently too, I expected the cost to be between 50-70 Ghana cedis and I brought just 50 cedis because I was having some cash flow issues . Boy was I wrong!😅. The battery was 70cedis now. I called a friend to send me 20Ghana cedis to top it up. Unfortunately I forgot to tell him I had a qwikloan debt on my account. Now you can guess what happened next. I was very lucky @designeer had 20Ghana cedis to spare. We fixed the phone and the phone took its first back-to-life picture😁. Yaaay🥳
@desiigner’s house was close in the area and we headed over there. We talked for a while to catch up because it’s been a week since we went on holidays. He showed me some sketches he did and will be posting later on his blog. It was almost half an hour past 1 in the afternoon and we observed our prayers. I left shortly after. We took a couple of pictures before he escorted me back to the station.
This is not the very best picture but this is the junction of my Senior High School. I couldn’t take a clear one because I was in the taxi. I can’t stand the sight of it because it stirs some really old and sad memories but I’m talking about my day aren’t I😅?
I got to Savelugu around 3pm and just as I got off the taxi, I remembered I had one last stop to make. I forgot my charger adapter got burnt from high current just about the same week my phone broke.
I went to a friend selling phone accessories and got myself a new adapter.
Around 5pm when it was almost time to break our fast(dang, I forgot to mention that. The day was just so eventful😁), I played ludo with my sister and her friends. It was fun😅
My day was exciting, eventful and tiring. I hope your day was good too
