Yesterday,
my daughter
and me, we felt like eating sushi.
we did shopping for it.

for 4 people we need:
250 g sushi rice
3 tbsp rice vinegar
2 teaspoons of sugar
1 teaspoon salt
200 g fresh salmon
1/2 cucumber
1 avocado
6 nori seaweed sheets

Wasabi pasta for
Soy sauce for dipping
pickled ginger

First rinse the rice with cold water until the draining water runs clear.
Then boil the rice in a saucepan with twice the amount of water.
You heat rice vinegar with sugar and salt until both have dissolved. Season the rice with the vinegar mixture and let cool down completely.
While the rice is cooling, prepare the fillings:
In addition, cucumber, avocado and fish in narrow strips

Now you put a bamboo mat in front of you and place an algae sheet on it with the smooth side down. Then you take the rice and distribute it evenly on the algae sheet.
Then brush the center of the rice with a small amount of wasabi and put a narrow strip of fish, avocado or cucumber over it.

To roll it, you lift the mat with both hands and roll it forward. press the roll firmly together with your hands. If the roll does not stick properly, you can apply a little water to the free areas of the algae sheet.
