Hi steemian friends, from all over the world, greetings from me @donpearl to my friends, beautiful and great women, i hope you all are good. I am greatful to join the great women's community and get to know great and beautiful women on this platform both domestically and abroad.

On this, i will make a contest made directly by the #steemwomensclub community, as my active participation in the 33 steemwomen club contest themed "HEALTHY RECIPES CONTEST" . I also want to invite my friends @meymeyshops and @beautybb to join the contest. Here's the contest link :https://steemit.com/hive-188403/@steemwomensclub/steem-women-club-contest-33-or-healthy-recipes-contest-or-10-winners.

After doing some chores at home because i went to the village to see my sick mum,i opened my smartphone and saw that the steemwomenclub held an amazing contest, so i wanted to participate in the contest and this is my first contest i have entered in this great women community.

At this time, i want to make a contest on ogbono soup with onugbu leaf.
My dad gave me money to make the food,so by myself, i went to market nearby home to buy the foodstuffs i needed in making the soup. I first check the kitchen to see the things that we already have. I bought;
Ogbono
Crayfish
Pepper
Onions
Onugbu leaf
Small egusi
Canda
Stockfish
Dry fish, mangala precisely
Maggi and onions.
I didn't buy red oil and salt because those ones are already at home.

Knowing that bitter leaf is good in treating abdominal issues like stomach upset, dysentery and other diseases, i decided to cook the leaf.

Crayfish is rich in calcium and magnesium, two minerals that help to make the bone stronger, teeth as well as muscles.

Onions fight inflammation and reduces cholesterol.

Stockfish builds healthy immune system in man and also support blood circulation and weight management.

Pepper gives vitamin A and C, folic acid and fibre.

Ogbono gives iron, potassium, carbohydrates, vitamin, calcium etc.

STEPS TO PREPARE IT

STEP 1

Grind all you needed to grind, like; ogbono, pepper, egusi, then wash stock fish with hot water and as well your dry fish with hot water.

STEP TWO

Put hot water on the fire and allow it to hit, remember, the quantity of what you bought determines the quantity of water you will put, then add your washed dry fish and stock fish, then allow it to get done, about 15-20minutes depending on the heat. Because when it get done very well, it will give a nice test.

STEP THREE

STEP FIVE

Add your onugbu leaf, and cover your pot,do not stir immidiately to avoid making the whole soup bitter, after some minutes, stir it and serve according to your choice ,you can decide to use fufu or garri like i used to enjoy your meal

Firstly I hope your mum is better? @donpearl I absolutely love the way the firewood lights up when used to cook as compared to gas,it's just that one will leave the kitchen smelling smoke smoke.
honestly don't like onugbu because of its bitter taste talk more of putting it in ogbono.......what can I say? I've a sweet tooth.... But it seems you love it...My granny has found a kindred spirit🤣. I wish you success in the contest.
