Amalgamation House, close to Ikot Abasi Secreteriate located in Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom State Nigeria is an important place in the history of black men who live in Europe and America. It is a historical place where the then Governor of the Northern Protectorate and the colony and protectorate of Southern Nigeria, Sir Lord Fredrick Lugard made a signature of agreement of merging of the two entities into one and that was where the name Nigeria came into existence, so we visited the administrative headquarters of Lord Lugard were this took place. Read about the history here

We also made a walk to the Bridge of no return. This bridge was where Nigerians were transferred from Nigeria to the Vast plantation in Europe and America. In my next post, I will write a history of how it was. In those years, anyone who step on this bridge never returned that's the reason it is called "the bridge of no return"

At the bridge of no return, behind me you can see the three compartment where slaves were kept

We also made a visit to the Uta Ewa waterside still in Ikot Abasi where people do fishing, the environment is actually crowdy, highly populated.
