         BRIEFING

Samuel is 8months old and is my first child. He was born on January 21st, 2021. Being the first child, so many persons gave me reasons not to exclusively breastfeed him, reasons like it will be hard for him to accept solid food after his 6months, it may be difficult to wean him and so on. I had already bore it in mind that I'll exclusively breastfeed him until his 6months of age and guess what? I did. Not even a drop of water was given to him until his 6months of age

He is 8 in months now and he eats everything he is been given and even more. Let me take you through how I make his soya beans.

 THE RECIPE
  1. 3 mudule of soyabeans

  2. 1 bunch of unripe plantain

  3. 5 medium sized potatoes

  4. A cup of date

  5. A cup of crayfish

    THE SOYA BEANS JOURNEY

I learnt this new recipe from my sister-in-law. She still has growing children.

I washed and baked my soya beans

I bought a bunch of unripe plantain since it is its season, sliced and sunned it until dry.

        HOW I WENT

I set out by 10am to the grinding mill to grind my soya beans and on getting there, I met some persons that came before me as usual. The grinding is usually done in turns so, I patiently waited. Due to the noise from the machines, I went without my son.

On getting to my turn, I handed over the items to the grinder and he did his job. We don't mix all the items because the soya beans will first be grinded and its chaff blown away before grinding it to a powdered form.

I finished my business with them and left for the house. It was almost 1pm and I had to do other things at home.

  BENEFITS OF SOYABEANS
  1. It is very simple to make and requires no special skill
  2. It is appetizing
  3. Dates are healthy for growing children, it boosts up brain cells
  4. Soyabeans is rich in protein
  5. Crayfish is rich in iodine and potassium
  6. Soyabean can be eaten by both young and old
