Hello Steem Women's Club and to all beautiful women of steemit! How are you today? It's been a tiring week for me, works from school and home. It's Sunday today, it's time to relax and pampered ourselves especially our hair.
I am very grateful there's another contest again for women and this time talks about hair care. Let me share with you how I save my hair from hair fall.
Excessive hair fall
Months after I delivered my youngest child, I have noticed an unusual loss of my hair. Not just when I comb my hair, even every time I rise from sleep, a lot of hair falls on my pillow. It bothers me a lot because my scalp is getting balder.
My anxiety strikes
I talked with my friends about my unusual hair fall. A lot of them shared the same problem as mine. People just told me, "it's ok, it's normal for a mother any way'... luh! I refused the idea, I can't imagine myself getting balder without me doing anything.
As a working mom, no matter how busy I am, I need to take good care of myself. I might not that blessed with a beautiful face, but at least I can be presentable no matter what. This hair fall is sickening me!
I can't be drowned with my anxiety. I did try to convince myself, "maybe it's actually normal for a nourishing mom." But you know what... it just started, but the feeling every time I see those hair strands is unbearable! You know that fear, what if there's another illness? How long will it last? What if my hair fall will get worst? Should I just wait for what will happen next? I can't stay like this any longer!
Save by coconut milk
It's bothering me... Part of me thought this is not normal and I need to do something. I used to prefer longer hair but because of hair fall, I decided to cut it short. I did search a lot, looking on the internet for a cure. No matter how busy I was, I have to do something about this hair fall.
I have tried many suggested products, either found on the internet or shared by my friends... as I was convinced with their experience.
But only two things work for me. Olah!.. Both are organic and are used for generations already. These are aloe vera and coconut milk, funny right? I was so stressed only to find out aloe vera can just be grown in my backyard, while the coconut can just be bought anytime in the market at an affordable price.
While I need to wait for the aloe vera to grow... because I did buy many and planted them for real. I immediately applied coconut milk to my hair.
The use of coconut milk for my hair fall
Coconut milk for hair care is very familiar and is tested by generations already. Not only for hair fall, but it will also blacken your hair leaving it alive and shiny. It really works for my hair loss problem, and I am very confident to share its benefits and effectiveness with all women who shared the same problem as mine.
Application on my hair
You can actually apply it your way. It won't change the quality of its effectiveness.
Mine, I usually bought 1 piece of coconut in the market, asked the seller to grate it for free.
At home, I just added a small amount of water to the grated coconut enough to squiz its milk.
Others prepared it hot, like "hot oil", but I do apply it right away since I don't have plenty of time. Rubbing it on my scalp, massage it gently, leave it there for 3-5 minutes, that fast because I used it as a replacement for my daily shampoo. Wash it thoroughly, then I'm done!
If you are desperate enough and prefer to apply it the same way as mine, just make sure you don't over-apply it because it leaves a smell you might not comfortable with. Especially when you're on your way to work or surrounded by people. People might notice you, feel embarrassed of their side comments...blah...blah! But anyway their opinion doesn't matter at all since we have our own problem to solve...excessive hair fall... haha!
By the way, since I just apply a small amount of coconut milk, at night I made coconut oil out of it. The coconut oil really saves me the whole week or more and much more it saves a lot of money.
Problem solved!
It didn't work overnight. I continuously use it even if people look at me indifferently... Who is bothered anyway? But as of now, I applied it once a week. This time I leave it there for 30 minutes or more. And people start to notice the difference actually. So, my problem was solved! Why don't you try?
I am inviting my friend @kyrie1234 to also post her hair care story.
Cheers,
