Hey steemians @SteemWomenClub
How's today going with you all? I want to believe you are enjoying a fair weather. On my diary today. I will like to share a bit of what season we are currently translating into here in the giant of Africa. I hope you share yours too, in that manner you will be bringing me one step closer to you, your environment and what is going on around you socially and otherwise without me having to pay a dime on flight ticket. I'll be doing same myself, you just sit tight and enjoy this ride.
Today, somewhere in the south-south part of Nigeria like most homes and families. We are currently into the cultivation in sight of the rainy season which has gradually started its outpour and for that cause. Different shallow rooted crops, have been cultivated. I will try to explain a few steps to those who aren't quite familiar with farm procedures. I don't have complete photos to show all procedures but I'll be elaborate, so you can follow through.
Step 1: Till your soil properly, specifically loamy soil is used for cultivating corn, cassava, vegetables etc. Soil is tilled to make the soil free enough and palpable enough for the soft roots that will begin to sprout after a few days else they may not grow or die off after a few days due to lack of sufficient nutrients assessment.
Step 2: Make ridges or small mounds to sew the seeds
Step 3: Sew two to three corn seeds in each hollow in the already created shallow (about 4-5cm)dugged mounds, just deep enough to keep it buried and not eroded by rain, and shallow enough to permit it to shoot out after three to five days.
Note: The original corn buried into the earth or soil dies before shooting out to the surface and yields thousands of corn rows in a few months when it is ripe for harvest. This applies to our daily lives, give it a close thought.
Hope you found this relatable and helpful. Enjoy the rest of your day. 😍
