Hello to all beautiful ladies of Steemit Community!
This is my first post in the #SteemWomenClub. By the time I saw @steemwomensclub 36-hour Mothers Day Challenge, it was too late. So decided to post about the day I had with my mother anyways.
Started with some good old fashioned Iftar
Ramadan is almost about to end, and I am so lost in it's routine that if I have to get anything done, I have to mentally prepare myself before sleeping to get up on time. So for Mother's day, my sister and I decided to celebrate mother's day in our own sweet, unique way.
We decided to make aftari for her as a surprise. Having almost no knowledge about cooking, whatsoever, we ended up making delicious chicken sticks, chicken cheese balls, some fritters and juice. We also got some samosas from bazar to top it off. Decided to not post any pictures of the progress because lets face it, you don't wanna know what happened in the kitchen.
Cake Cutting
After offering our Maghreb prayers, we decided to cut the cake
My sister and I wrote cute little notes for my mother and my sister-in-law, as we didn't want her to feel left out own her first ever Mother's Day.
THE CUTEST EVER
Some Add-ons for the Day
The celebrations continued, till the Isha prayer after which we decided to go out and have some chai and limka. Dine outs are closed due to lockdown so eating and having fun in car is the new normal.
KARAK CHAE
MINT LEMONADE
Even thought I believe we should celebrate the existence of our mothers everyday, but to have this one day entirely dedicated to them is something else.
Honored to be a part of this community full of talented women.

Ayeee you celebrated it so well.
Hehe as you said having no knowledge of the kitchen but these chicken balls look so round and accurate plus the color they look so tempting :)
This is so beautiful that you indulge your sister-in-law too. Love <3
