Am so glad to share this post about the girl child with my fellow ladies this morning,I believe together we can save every girl child around us.
Every lady/woman was once a little adorable girl. Growth is the only process that made us become women today but that doesn't exclude us from being a girl child.
It is with a great dismay in my heart that I make this post this morning. Considering the level of development in our county today since education was acknowledged by my people,I thought that girl child molestation and gender discrimination is now outdated and no longer practiced in our modern society but this particular event that happened yesterday changed the whole narrative I had about this.
This young lady I took picture with yesterday shared a very terrible story of her life with me that made shed tears.
Her name is Hope,my former colleague in a fuel station where we worked as a pump attendant years back. Coming across her yesterday was supposed to be a happy memory for us but instead tears was all we shed.
I quote her by her words "being a woman is the worst thing that have ever happened to me in this life,I am alive but I've seen worst more than hellfire itself,all I wish to do now is to take my life,but I can't".
From her statement and story I figured out that the beginning of her nemesis in the family was all because she's a girl.
Hope is a girl of 27years old,she's the only survivor in her family but while her parents was alive they channel all their resources towards his elder brother and make her do all the house chores,but today the elder brother is dead,followed by the father and finally her mother died few weeks back.
Because she's a girl,she have to bury her mother by herself without any help from any body and further more all inheritance will be given to her uncle all because she's a girl.
What a world??
After narrating her story,all I did was cry with her but thank God for @steemit,I was able to give a her a little support worth of 10SBD and as she told me that the burial is on the last Saturday of this month,I promised to do more.
Please fellow women @steemwomenclub,help save every young girl around you in anyway you can. Girls are helpmate from God not an object of ridicule,we are special gift from God.
You can save younger generations through enlightenment campaign,speech presentation and even online protest.
Twitter is one of the best online platform to carry out such campaign and this post will be shared on twitter.

It is indeed a sad situation Hope finds herself in. At times I wonder at the wickedness of this world especially men towards women, using them like a toy as they want. Soon all these will stop.
